Albert Stahl Cigar Smoking Bulldog Stein

DESCRIPTION
BULLDOG with Cigar Character lidded stein. The first edition in the Bulldog Character stein series. This 9 3/4″ porcelain hand painted lidded stein was made in Germany by Albert Stahl. (Read the history of these steins and note the mark of authenticity on the bottom of this stein.) A cigar smoking Bulldog wearing a shirt decorated with parrots, palm trees and a variety of flowers. He’s smoking a Churchill-size cigar while guarding a stack of his master’s full cigar boxes. A chain connects his spiked collar to a cigar-shaped post. The cigar is also the stein’s handle and a gold-leaf wrapper with a bulldog motif completes the design. Individually numbered. Limited to 5,000.
